Oh you guys. Rachel & Nick’s Carmel Arts & Design District engagement session was a total game changer! I mean, just look at them!! This was the 2nd time I had met with them in person and now I just want to see them all the time! The first time we met up was to tour their venue! And yes brides, I will do this for ALL of you if you want me to! We met up on August 18th, exactly ONE year from their wedding! Which meant we got to see the venue exactly how it will look on their wedding day, including how the light will look during their ceremony! So perfect! I still can’t believe we have such a good idea for how their wedding photos will be already! Since our venue tour, I’ve basically been thinking about Rachel and Nick non-stop! Their personalities and ideas fit PERFECTLY with mine!

We met up at the Carmel Arts & Design District for the first half of their engagement session! We walked up and down the streets taking complete advantage of all the variety the area had to offer! And seriously, if anyone else wants to go down to Carmel for their session, PLEASE don’t hesitate! This location was a DREAM! These two arrived feeling nervous (like almost all couples do!) and I quickly showed them that they had amazing hidden posing skills that they had never used before! The saddest part about engagement sessions is that after it’s over, I have to wait an entire YEAR to get them in front of my camera again! Booo. But until then, I will be looking back on this session constantly! We wrapped up our time at the Carmel Arts & Design District and headed over to Coxhall Gardens (another personal fave!) to meet up with Rachel’s mama, sister, and of course… their 3 pups!

The clouds had rolled in so much that we were loosing light quickly! So now we really had to step up our game! Rachel & Nick had to use ALL of the posing skills they learned during the first half of their session and they. were. awesome! So I think it’s safe to say that if we run into a time crunch on their wedding day, they’ll be able to handle it with grace and ease! My one regret is that we didn’t spend the ENTIRE day with each other! 😉

After seeing these two together in person, it’s easy to see that Nick LOVES to make her happy. They laugh so much and interact so easily and their love shows through in their images so genuinely. I’m SO excited for their wedding next year! It’s going to be at the gorgeous Indianapolis Art Museum and I’m already counting down the days!!
