Okay, guys! Remember Lindsey & Ryan’s family session a couple months back? You know, the one family session that got me excited about photographing more families? Well, turns out, Lindsey has a friend who is just as amazing, and her name is Tia! When her and her hubby, Clint, contacted me, I knew I couldn’t say no! They were SO excited about finally finding a photographer who fit their vision to shoot their Sunset Family Session at McAllister Park!

We originally had scheduled their session for the day before, but a couple of hours before their start time a massive storm rolled in. I was so sad, but it was what it was. So we rescheduled for the following day, and wouldn’t you know it, right when their session was originally supposed to start, the skies parted and we were greeted with the most incredible light Lafayette has seen in a while! Go figure! I feel like this kind of thing happens to me all the time.

The next day when Tia, Clint, and their two boys arrived at their session, my jaw dropped straight to the floor! Tia looked like a real life angle and her boys couldn’t have been more handsome in their blue outfits! I literally couldn’t contain my excitement. I’m sure these two remember! Non-stop complimenting because how could you not when your clients look THIS amazing! Not only were they the picture perfect family, but the light was just as dreamy and the weather was even warmer than the day before! I’d definitely say we hit the photography jackpot when we rescheduled their original date!

As we started walking around the park to find the prettiest light, I quickly realized how energetic but so well behaved their kiddos, Kale and Karter, were! They were friendly, talkative, and actually pretty excited to be there! Which is surprising, right? What two boys actually want to have their picture taken!? Both of them are super good at giggling on command, which I’m sure made Mom and Dad SUPER happy! And we ended up having a ridiculous amount of fun!

Now, with high energy sessions also comes points of exhaustion. I figured at least once something during our Sunset Family Session may get tripped up. You never know what could cause a kid to break! But when the boys got even a little worn out, Tia and Clint would put their mad parenting skills to the test, reel the boys back in, and encourage them to keep going. And let me tell you, it was amazing to see them work their magic! It’s no wonder Kale & Karter are such incredible kids!

From the very first shot of their session (seriously, the VERY first one), to the very last one, Tia, Clint, Kale, & Karter, had convinced me that I definitely AM cut out for family sessions! Tia & Clint, I honestly loved every single second of our time together! I couldn’t be more excited to photograph more families, especially if they are anything at all like yours!
