Untitled Portrait Session for Inspiration {Madison Bea}

Untitled Portrait SessionLast year (yes, I am just now posting this!), I found myself with an entire day of free time to take photos outside of my wedding specialty. Commence the Untitled Portrait Session! I called up my favorite make up artist & hair stylist, Hali Kanitz, as well as my friend Madison (one of the most beautiful girls I know!), and we started planning our fun little mini session!

Most of the year, I don’t have time to get out and shoot personal projects, so I when I do, it’s extra fun, especially if I have an awesome team to work with! I didn’t have any particular inspiration or a message that I was trying to convey, I just wanted to shoot! I think a lot of times creative people NEED to have an idea in mind before they start shooting. But for me, when I plan something so much, it usually never goes the way I had hoped. So without any expectations, we got Madison all dolled up, headed down through the woods, and ended up in a huge open space near some train tracks. (Note to other photographers: don’t ever let your subjects stand on or near train tracks! It’s super dangerous.)

I had a super fun time with Madison and she looked absolutely amazing with those bright blue eyes! Revisiting this Untitled Portrait Session, especially on a day with such beautiful weather (seriously Indiana, what’s up with you?!), is really inspiring me to get out and do more personal projects!
