I’m SO excited to finally share this Whimsical Autumn Styled Wedding from Amy & Jordan’s Arizona workshop! Since October, I, and all the other workshop photographers, have been waiting and waiting for Amy & Jordan’s photos to be featured on 100 Layer Cake, and yesterday, they were published! Yay! I’m so excited for these two outstanding photographers and educators! Back in October, I was lucky enough to be one of the 17 attendees who had the honor of learning from Amy & Jordan! I had been following them for years and had already learned SO much from reading their educational blog posts! But you can never know too much about your specialty, right?! So, I took the plunge and booked my flight out to Scottsdale, Arizona! Plus, I was way over due for a trip to my favorite state in America! Arizona just blows my mind every single time I visit. The weather is always fabulous and the rock formations are so magical! And, the red ground makes for an awesome natural reflector, which means beautiful portrait opportunities everywhere you look!

We all gathered for introductions the night before the workshop at Some Like It Classic (the incredible Event Planners who styled this whole shebang)! Getting to know each other over donuts was such a treat! It definitely helped create a fun and safe learning environment for all of us! By the next morning, all of us knew each others names, hobbies, and personalities! And seriously, we all left Arizona with at least a few amazing new friends!

Each day of the workshop, we spent 12 hours at Clayton on the Park (the most beautiful and bright venue ever!) learning from Amy & Jordan, and on the second day, we got to spend a few hours shooting this STUNNING styled wedding alongside Amy! These two days were packed full of top secret material that helped us brush up on our lighting and posing! More importantly, we also learned how serve our clients in the best way possible! Learning from Amy & Jordan was hands down one of the best business decisions I’ve made! So for all you photographers out there, if you have the chance to learn from someone you highly respect and who’s work you adore, take the plunge!

Amy & Jordan, thank you SO much for being an open book. You have been the most incredible source of education AND inspiration to me over the past few years! I can’t thank you enough for being so transparent as you continue to help me and other photographers attain their goals!
