Cheeselandia Hoop Affair began with a simple but powerful dream. Event creator and longtime Madison, Wisconsin hooper Danielle Lee of Hoop Elation wanted to bring people together to celebrate the joy of hooping. As a cofounder of Madison Circus Space, a 24/7 circus arts nonprofit, she knew the perfect place to make that dream come true. With her vision and community spirit, Cheeselandia was born right here in Wisconsin.

In its very first year, Cheeselandia made a big splash. Hoopers traveled from 30 different states and even came from Canada and Germany to be part of the event. People came not just to learn, but to connect. The convention is filled with hoop workshops, exciting performances, and open jams where everyone can play, practice, and cheer each other on.

Cheeselandia is about more than just hula hoops. The event also offers fun circus workshops like trapeze, cyr wheel, and lyra. Whether you are brand new or very experienced, there is something for everyone. Most of all, Cheeselandia is a place to feel welcome, try new things, and be part of a joyful, creative community.
