Sheldon & Brayton’s Hidden Meadow Engagement Session was a DREAM. But let me tell you, this day was HOT. Super hot. Sweat dripping off our faces hot. And then add in tall grass surrounded by little bugs, with just a touch of humidity… it was sure to be a miserable session. Plot twist! It was amazing. Sheldon & Brayton didn’t let the heat or bugs bother them one bit! And because of that, they were free to flirt, have fun, and be absolutely adorable. Brides, take note. If the weather isn’t perfect, just go with the flow and it’ll be an amazing day.

I don’t often take couples to this location because it’s always hit or miss. Usually miss. Everything has to be just right to get the most out of this hidden meadow. It has to be sunny, with some cloud coverage, every tree needs to be full of leaves, and the grass has to be tall. Tall to the point where it will likely be cut down the day after. And that’s what makes this location tricky. You never know if the grass will be gone on arrival. We got really lucky. Everything fell perfectly into place. From the location & light, to Sheldon’s boho style. Even her ring matched the scenery! How beautiful is this nature inspired diamond?!

Sheldon & Brayton will be saying their vows exactly one month from today on top of a gorgeous, sunlit mountain on the east coast of Maine! I am SO thankful for these two. My dream is to be a destination wedding photographer, and they just opened so many doors for me. Not only can I hardly wait to photograph their intimate and unique wedding ceremony, but I’m especially excited to shower them with surprises! When someone trusts you and loves your work THIS much, enough to literally set your dreams in motion, you can’t help but feel eternally grateful.
