High Altitude Hoop Retreat is a joyful and inspiring gathering held in the beautiful Black Forest of Colorado. The retreat is a subsidiary of Mad About Hoops and was created by close friends and flowmies, Madison McBurney and Amy Neel. These two have been dreaming big and turning those dreams into reality together since 2014. Their shared passion for movement, creativity, and community is at the heart of everything this retreat offers.

The retreat brings together world-renowned instructors and hoopers from all over to learn, grow, and play. Days are filled with workshops that help people improve their flow skills and try new things. Nights light up with LED flow jams that are full of color, music, and laughter. Add in amazing food and a welcoming environment, and it becomes a space where real connections are made and friendships grow naturally.

My role at High Altitude Hoop Retreat is to photograph each participant and give them their own private photography session. This allows everyone to feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their flow journey. Capturing these moments is an honor, because each person brings their own story and energy to the retreat. High Altitude Hoop Retreat is more than just an event; it’s an experience filled with creativity, fun, and meaningful connection.
