I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend and photograph PlayThink 2023, a special festival nestled in the heart of Kentucky. This unique event is not just about music and fun, but also about connecting with others in a meaningful way. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by both new faces and familiar ones. It was like a reunion with old friends, and I cherished every moment of it.

Throughout the festival, there was a vibrant energy fueled by talented musicians performing day and night. But what truly stood out were the workshops focused on flow arts like hula hooping, poi spinning, silk dancing, and yoga. These workshops were not only about learning new skills but also about personal growth and exploration. As the days turned into nights, the atmosphere shifted to a peaceful space filled with meditation and communication workshops. The fire spinning circle lasted late into the night. Watching beginners and advanced fire spinners in the same circle was a sight to behold. And when the sun set, the rhythmic beats of the drum circle brought everyone together, creating unforgettable memories.

For me, PlayThink 2023 was more than just a festival. It was a sanctuary for creativity and self-expression. As a photographer, it was a joy to capture the essence of the event and the spirit of its attendees. Stepping away from the pressures of wedding photography, I found myself fully immersed in the freedom to explore and document the beauty around me. Each click of my camera felt like a celebration of life and art. And now, as I eagerly anticipate returning to PlayThink in 2024, I am filled with excitement and gratitude. This festival has become a second home—a place where I can truly be myself and connect with others on a deeper level. I cannot wait to see what adventures await and to once again experience the magic of PlayThink.
