Missy & Luke totally lucked out for their Romantic Indianapolis Canal Engagement session! Spring sessions are always tricky because the weather can change at the drop of a dime, and the forecast had been calling for rain all week! Just a few hours prior to their session we decided to risk it and it definitely paid off! While Lafayette was struck with tornado warnings, Indianapolis was nothing but breezy wind and warm weather!

I met these two back in August last year during one of our favorite couple’s wedding reception! We had been introduced and I immediately was crushing on them! Missy was such a sweetheart when we met, I basically had my fingers crossed for months just hoping they would get in touch with me about their wedding! We kicked off their Romantic Indianapolis Canal Engagement session with a few locations that Luke had picked out himself! I absolutely love it when our guys want to have some input in their session! Seriously shows how much they care! And Luke’s locations were brilliant!! From the circular installation to the long stretch of a lavender garden, I was completely in love!

And for the second half of their gorgeous engagement session, Missy & Luke brought their fur babies, Dennis & Daisy along for the ride! Their pups were the cutest little muffin butts ever and they were SO well behaved! We got TONS of “family” portraits of them! You know it was a good time with the pups when I put one of their family portraits in my portfolio! And I only ever add 3-4 photos to my portfolio a year… so… that’s saying something! We ended their session down by the canal and the skyline lit up with a stunning pink hue that perfectly matched Missy’s glimmering dress!

Missy & Luke, I love you both so much! I had a BLAST with you two during you Romantic Indianapolis Canal Engagement! Your smiles are completely contagious! I’m so lucky to have met you at Rachel & Nick’s wedding last year! You two were so fun to be around and I loved getting to meet your fur babies! I can’t believe it’s going to be a whole year before I see you again, but hopefully that time will fly by fast!
