Jackie & Cory’s Wea Creek Orchard Spring Wedding day was beautiful, emotional, fun, and full of happiness! Tanner and I arrived at Jackie and Cory’s home on Saturday morning to photograph her bridal prep and was greeted with chaos!! A good chaos though! Kids running around, her pup jumping on us, Jackie nervously pacing the room, wondering if Cory and his groomsmen were setting up the reception the way she envisioned. During her bridal prep, we shared a special moment when Jackie started tearing up as she began thinking about how far her and Cory have come. A couple hours pass and Jackie gets in to her beautiful dress with the help of her mother and bridesmaids. It’s time to head to Wea Creek Orchard, BUT we were so rushed that neither I nor Jamie (the Maid of Honor), realized she laced Jackie up completely backwards!! Oh the little things that go wrong on wedding days!

Next up on the agenda was their first look! If you don’t know what a first look is, click here. This is my FAVORITE part of any wedding day! It’s private, emotional, and right after their first look, it’s time for bride & groom portraits! Cory’s not one for having his photos taken, nor is he one to have a big smile on his face, but when he turned around and saw Jackie for the first time, I swear my heart melted! And I’m sure his did too! We headed up the path and planned to walk all the way to the back of the Orchard, but luckily, we were greeted at the top of the hill with a golf cart! We took that cart through the gorgeous apple trees… and through a big pile of mud and dirt (over which we all got airborne, thanks Cory), and we ended up in a huge open field with gorgeous purple flowers, beautiful blue skies, and super bright sunlight!

Jackie & Cory’s ceremony was held at the front of Wea Creek Orchard with all those gorgeous blooming trees behind them! It was a simple ceremony, yet so unique. A family friend had made a unity board for them with three ropes attached. When they braided the unity rope together, I could truly feel how strong their relationship was. You could tell from a mile away how perfect Jackie and Cory are for each other, and this board will always be a reminder for them: “A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” And after they were pronounced husband and wife, they shared the longest kiss in history! Well, maybe I’m exaggerating, but it was at least 6 seconds! Which is a pretty long time for a kiss if you think about it!

After the ceremony we headed back into the trees for a quick newlywed session to give them just a few more minutes alone together! We didn’t want to keep the guests waiting for too long, so we headed to the reception and kicked it off with the first dances! Cory and Jackie’s first dance was nice… but I think Jackie’s first dance with her mother was the most amazing first dance I’ve ever seen (sorry Cory, Mom won haha). They were twirling all of the place, with smiles and happy tears the whole time. Shortly after everyone got their fair share of dancing in, we stepped outside just as the sun was setting to get some portraits with that gorgeous golden light. As soon as the sun set the party really started! So much dancing, so much energy, and a couple hours in we closed out the night with an epic sparkler send off!

Jackie & Cory’s wedding was truly one of the most beautiful, crazy, and emotional weddings I’ve ever photographed. Their wedding was so real. All the happy tears, all the sad tears, the running behind, the laughs, the wardrobe malfunctions, the spilt beer here and there… everything added up made their wedding day exactly what it was, and it was nothing short of perfection.
