Carly and Cody’s engagement session was everything you could hope for in a fall photoshoot—vibrant, full of warmth, and uniquely theirs. I’ve known Carly for a couple of years, and she has always struck me as one of the kindest, sweetest souls. This session was my first time meeting Cody, and it didn’t take long to see that he and Carly are truly two peas in a pod. Their connection was natural and effortless, making it a joy to capture their love on camera.

The weather that day was a pleasant surprise. After several bitterly cold days, we were greeted by a warm, breezy afternoon. While the wind was strong, it added a dynamic energy to their photos, with Carly’s hair catching the light just perfectly and Cody’s laughter as he helped her navigate the gusts.

Towards the end of the session, these two adventurers decided to take things up a notch. They braved the chilly lake water, adding a romantic and daring touch to their photos. Watching them laugh and hold each other, completely unfazed by the cold, was the perfect way to wrap up such a memorable shoot. Carly and Cody’s willingness to embrace the moment fully made this session one for the books. I cannot wait to see what their future holds—it’s bound to be as beautiful and warm as they are!
