Atalie and Alex’s Lafayette Indiana Country Engagement Session was a truly special experience. I’ve known Atalie for a few years, and from the start, her warmth and kindness were so evident. Having the chance to photograph her and Alex together was not only a pleasure but a great time! They both warmed up to the camera effortlessly, which made capturing their connection and joy that much easier and so much fun. It’s clear they’re an incredible match, and their love radiated in every shot we took.

Originally, we planned to start the session at a beautiful creekside location. But when we arrived, we found it unexpectedly occupied by a large campsite setup with tents. Not missing a beat, we decided to change course and headed to Fairfield Lakes—a decision that ended up being perfect. The lakes provided a serene and romantic backdrop, allowing us to make the most of the golden hour lighting. The scenery was just stunning, with soft light reflecting off the water and the surrounding greenery adding a beautiful, natural vibe.

One of the highlights of the session was the gorgeous moonrise over the lake. It felt almost magical, casting a soft glow that added an extra touch of romance to the evening. Atalie and Alex are set to tie the knot next July at the Old Grey Barn, one of my favorite venues near Lafayette, and I couldn’t be more excited for them. If their Lafayette Indiana Country Engagement Session was any indication, their wedding day will be filled with so much love, joy, and beauty—just like them.
