Kayla & Myles’ Spring Shades State Park Engagement Session was extra special to me! I’ve known Myles for about 10 years now. We use to frequent music festivals together back in the day! But when Kayla reached out about their October elopement, I hadn’t put the two and two together that it was these two amazing people! Luckily I did some sleuthing before we met up and realized who I’d been talking to this whole time! That would have been a wild ride to show up and be mind blown that I was so oblivious!
For their Shades State Park Engagement session, we were on borrowed time to include their two pups. Unfortunately, Myles’ handsome boy, Brutus, was diagnosed with an untreatable cancer late last year. We had to make this happen quickly in case the unthinkable happened. But lucky for us, Brutus at least got to spend one more day down at their favorite park. And better yet, Myles and Kayla now have extra special photos with him.
We started their Shades State Park Engagement session with a short hike, and ended their session cuddled up by a fire, complete with s’mores. By the way, I had never been to Shades State Park before, and personally, I think it blows Turkey Run out of the water. Sorry Turkey Run. Getting to explore with these two and their fur babies was such a treat. And I can’t wait to do it all again later this year for their Brown County Autumn Elopement!
