On Saturday this past weekend, Indiana had the BEST weather, especially for it being February! Sunny and a high of 72! SO happy! It was the perfect day to test out some new photography equipment with my beautiful Bohemian Hoop Friend! Somehow, most of my sessions end up being on cloudy, overcast days. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE overcast weather for portraits, but it was about time for some sun! Jess and I grabbed our hoops (and camera!) and headed out for an awesome afternoon of bohemian goodness. Isn’t she gorgeous!?!

We met around 5 years ago through mutual friends. I was sitting on my friends couch, she was sitting on my friends couch. She looked over at me and asked if I wanted some whipped cream. Yes, whipped cream. What a weirdo. In that moment, I knew she was weird enough to be my friend.

Since then, we’ve both taken up hula hooping. She’s a bit newer to the dance than I am, so it’s really great when I get to teach her new things (you know, because I love teaching!).
Jess runs an online festival shop selling and creating hat pins (they’re all the rage!) with the love of her life, Nick, and their sweet boy, Tommy! Being creative is a lot of work, and sometimes we just need a break! So during the summer, we make it a priority to go to shows and music festivals together! Saturday was just a taste of what this summer will bring for us!
I’m really looking forward to spending more warm and sunny days with my beautiful, bohemian friend.
